Carolyn Arculus

Carolyn is an internationally experienced executive coach, cross-cultural consultant, change management consultant and strategic facilitator.

 She is an energetic and inspirational woman whose passion is to bring people alive so they realise their dreams, achieve fulfilment and truly add value to the organisations for which they work. Carolyn brings an expertise in the global healthcare industry and in understanding the challenges and rewards of working in complex matrix organisations. Her work has deepened her knowledge and experience in cross cultural interfacing (ethnic, professional and organisational cultures) and in business relationship development.

Since moving from the UK to Switzerland in 1987, her corporate work includes coaching international senior executives, developing and running tailor made seminars and strategic meetings for senior managers and multi-cultural teams, culture change and alignment, conflict mediation and cross-cultural communication. 

She enjoys working globally and supporting businesses to maximize their diversity and ensure commercial success.

Carolyn has held a number of senior positions in three major pharmaceutical companies, all concerned with leadership, change management, business processing and coaching. Her last position in the UK was Chief Executive Officer of a University Hospital Unit, where she transformed the Unit from a government hospital environment into a business and customer oriented culture. In addition she has also worked in Cross-Cultural Institute in Switzerland as a senior consultant and mediator.

Carolyn has an honours degree in Psychology, is a member of the British Psychological Society, and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. She is a certified Ontological Coach; an associate consultant & coach with Oliver Wyman Executive Learning Centre, an associate trainer and facilitator with Interaction Associates and a trainer and coach with Mannet Management Network in Geneva.

She lives in Basel in Switzerland, and works in Europe, US and Asia and Australia.
